Undead & Unbothered (Introduction)
Welcome to Undead and Unbothered.
A blog for the overlooked, all those who are over-it, anyone needing a pep talk, and the just-trying-to-survive-the-afterlife (or this life) crowd.
Here, you'll find pep talks delivered by a rotating group of grim reapers in training, often known as G.R.I.T.s. (Yes the acronym is weird, and no we are not changing it). These aren’t your average motivational quotes wrapped in fuzzy pastel clouds and smothered in lollypops.
Nah. Doesn’t go with our grim reaper vibe. These are raw, funny, sometimes rude, but always honest, reminders that even if the world (or the afterlife) acts like you’re invisible, you’re still here. And no matter if you’re walking, sitting, crying, or screaming your way through it this life, just being here counts for a lot. There is no need to listen to the LinkedIn Bros, or Instagram influencers that tell you that you’re not doing enough. No one even knows what those Instagramers influence anyway…
You’ll hear from:
Marge, who will give you the best hug and call out the universe’s nonsense while sharpening her scythe.
Tariq, who’s trying to outmaneuver Lady Death’s guards with sarcasm
Grannis, who has rope, a hug waiting for anyone who needs patching up, and peppermints (warning most have lint or hair stuck to them).
Ossie, who is a literal skull on a green velvet pillow and somehow still manages to outsmart most reapers.
And the occasional gorgon, siren, or rogue reapers who slipped through the cracks and has opinions that just couldn’t be contained. Who knows maybe even Lady Death will make an appearance if she ever comes down from her floating tower.
Whether you're dealing with self-doubt, bad vibes, toxic systems, or just another gosh darn Tuesday, these posts are here to remind you that:
You are not broken or alone.
No matter what imposter syndrome says, you are worthy of taking up space
And the reaper system, or who ever is wrecking your day, can mind their business.
Think of this as your unofficial guide to surviving your worst days with just enough petty to keep things interesting. So when crap is hitting the fan read a note from your favorite undead friends. Then sit with us and take a breath. Maybe four or five really deep ones. And above all else, keep going.
This life (and the afterlife) might be a mess, but its better off because you are here. .
