Let Me Catch Doubt Talking About You Again

Pep Talk from Grannis

(Resident Soft Threat, Quilter of Confidence)

Well now, look at you.

Over here actin’ like the world handed you an invitation by accident. Like you're just passing through until someone taps you on the shoulder and says, “Oops, sorry, this seat was meant for someone shinier.”

Baby, please. I’ve stitched together more shredded self-worth than you’ve had hot meals this week, and I can tell you—that voice in your head is full of beans and boldness. Rude little gremlin. Lives rent-free and doesn’t even do the dishes.

You thinking you don’t belong? That’s laughable. You been belonged. The only mistake would’ve been not letting you in.

You’re out here checking every step, second-guessing your sparkle, meanwhile folks with half your brilliance are out there waving flags and mispronouncing basic concepts with confidence.

Let me say it plain:
You don’t have to be loud to be powerful.
You don’t have to be perfect to be worthy.
And you sure don’t have to shrink just because someone else decided to expand recklessly.

So. If that inner voice comes back whispering that you’re a fake?
Tell it Grannis said to hush.
Or better yet, hand me a ladle and point me toward the nonsense—I’ll stir the pot real good.

Now fix your collar, lift your head, and take up all the space you were always meant to.

You earned it.
And if anyone says otherwise?
Well. I’ve got rope, peppermint, and a very sharp sense of justice.

With Love, Grannis
